1. How do I play a video?
Click on the video's thumbnail graphic, and it will launch your phone's media player.
2. Do I need to install anything on the phone to play videos?
No, the videos are played in the built-in media player of the phone.
3. What type of handset do I need to use this site?
You need a handset that supports streaming video (RTSP/3GP with H263/AMR).
4. Will I be charged for using YouTube Mobile?
YouTube does not charge users to access the mobile website. However, you might be charged by your service provider for the data used. It's a good idea to have a flat rate data plan if you intend to use YouTube.
5. My phone does not support streaming. Can I download the video?
YouTube is designed to be a streamed experience. We do not support downloading of videos.
6. How do I create an account?
To become a member of YouTube, go to the
Sign Up page, choose a username and password, and enter your information. Then click the sign up button and you're done.
7. I never received my confirmation email. What happened?
If you have just joined YouTube, the confirmation link is included in the Welcome email you received after signing up. If you were already a member of YouTube and are now confirming your email, you will receive a separate confirmation email.
If you don't receive either the welcome or confirmation email when you expect to, check in your email client's spam folder. Check if you have allowed to receive e-mails from youtube.com on your phone. If you still haven't received it after several hours, you can try confirming your email again with a different email address.
To request a confirmation email again, click on "Upload" after signing in.
8. Why am I unable to sign in?
First, make sure that you have a YouTube account. Click on
Sign up to create an account.
When entering your username and password, check to make sure that you have chosen a text entry mode where you can enter capitalization and numbers correctly.

9. Why am I unable to sign up?
We recommend adding extra numbers or letters to the end or the beginning of your desired username. Don't use special characters or spaces. Make sure to enter the verification code exactly. The verification code expires after 2 minutes, so you'll need to finish sign-up within that period of time.

10. Why can't I add videos to My Favorites?
You need to be signed in to your account and have a confirmed email address in order to use this function. If you're signed in and aren't able to favorite videos on the site, your email address may not be confirmed. To request a confirmation email, sign in and click on "Upload."
11. Can I edit my playlists, favorites, or account info?
Currently, it's not possible to edit or delete videos in playlists and favorites using YouTube mobile. You'll also need to to use a computer to update information on your account, change privacy settings, or delete/edit videos.
12. How do I upload a video from my phone?
Visit m.youtube.com to get your unique upload email address. Then email the videos from your device to this address using either email or MMS. If your device browser supports direct uploads, you can simply browse for the video to upload.
