Island of Ideas:  Curated public talks by the University of Tasmania

From cutting edge climate research, to creative icons like MONA, Tasmania has long been an island of ideas. And, if anything, the challenges emerging from the COVID-19 global crisis encourage us to come up more ideas – about work, education, health, politics and the human condition.

The University of Tasmania has a long history of sharing ideas through our highly regarded Public Lectures program. Each year, we present hundreds of lectures, forums, seminars and workshops free of charge to our students, alumni and wider community.

Our Island of Ideas program will present a mix of engaging new talks as well as a selection of our most popular past events.
