Welcome! I am Kim Wilson, the founder of Dercum’s Disease & Other Fat Disorders Canada.

The purpose of this channel is to help spread education and awareness to the public and medical professionals in Canada. We are on a mission called our "Campaign for Care!" We as "real" medical patients, need the medical community to catch up with the rest of the globe in this area, and begin to get the education and training required to recognize our very real, painful, and incurable fat disorders. This will enable us to receive a proper diagnosis, various treatment modalities, and life changing surgeries already being used in other countries!!! 

We are desperate to have a voice here in Canada, because our lives depend on it! The Government and our ten health ministers are not listening...
