HOLY SHIT THERE'S NOT ENOUGH CHARACTERS FOR ME TO USE TO DESCRIBE HOW MUCH OF A MASTERPIECE THIS LEVEL IS. So I started playing this level when I beat Empyrean in February. It genuinely took one showcase and a day of watching someone else play it to instantly fall in love with this level. So I started the grind on a much more difficult version of RUST (the rated version back then had bugs due to priority issues on double clicks and the 26% click became frame-perfect pretty much) and couldn't really get far. So eventually after time passes, I find Oceliveth/Fluffygenie's list accepted bugfix copy (probably not allowed anymore). From there, I finally could do the pre-drop for the first time ever. The bugfix fixed the priority issues in the 11% double-click and since your alignment wasn't fucked, 26% got a little easier. Then the rated version got fixed and that's when I decided to do the runs like 70-100% and 28% before I would eventually go for Crystal and beat it as a new hardest. After that, I Verified Rift and tried to do La Llorona before I had to go overseas for a sports trip for 2 weeks. I had decided that when I came back, I would start grinding RUST. After I came back, grinded my ass off on this level, taking the occasional break to make more layouts and dumb wave challenges. Eventually, I started making really fast progress one week, getting 47%, 56%, and 72% all in the same week. Two weeks later I would get 90% as well as some deaths in the 80s in between (Dash orbs and that one click at 84%). a week after I would get another carbon copy 90% death as well as 93% later that week. Despite my consistency and many ending deaths, not once did this level's enjoyment even drop at all for me. On August 28th I would get a 95% run from zero and that's when I knew that I would beat it soon. And with some forced nerve control and many months of practice behind my back, I finally beat RUST. I am so happy to finally have my first list demon as well as to be fortunate enough to have such a fun time playing the level. Thank you to everyone who's supported me all this time.
