TYAE

The increasing awareness of one's own situation as refugees as well as the moral responsibility to our own people and country led to the foundation of the Tibetan Youth Association in Europe (TYAE) in the spring of 1970. Today, the TYAE is the largest Tibetan youth organization in Europe. 

The voluntariness and the insight of the members regarding the necessity of their commitment build the essential foundation of the association.

Das zunehmende Bewusstwerden der eigenen Lage als Flüchtlinge wie auch die moralische Verantwortung dem eigenen Volk und Land gegenüber führten im Frühjahr 1970 zur Gründung des Verein Tibeter Jugend in Europa (VTJE). Heute ist der VTJE die grösste tibetische Jugendorganisation in Europa.

Mit direkten Aktionen, Kampagnen und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit, aber auch durch Vermittlung von Kultur, Religion und Sprache setzt sich der VTJE dafür ein, dass Tibet nicht in Vergessenheit gerät und ein Wandel geschieht.
