We're all showing our support for Black Lives Matter in whatever way we can. I myself have donated to the Black Trans Advocacy Coalition, supporting people in the black and transgender communities: https://blacktrans.org/donate/ Back in 2013, when I was doing my first PMV set for "Hairspray," I wasn't quite happy with how this particular song had turned out. With all that's been going on the last couple months, I felt it was time for a redo. This time, with Queen Latifah's version from the movie, as I actually like it more than the Broadway version. I was especially pushed to make this because of all the bigoted comments that have sprouted up on my channel after showing my support for the Black Lives Matter movement. And frankly, I'm shocked that people who claim to be fellow fans of "My Little Pony" could be so narrow-minded. After all, MLP has addressed the subject of racism several times on two levels: between unicorns, earth ponies and pegasi; and between ponies and other sentient creatures. I guess that's why I felt more inspiration making the video this time, as I had several more appropriate clips to work with. Once again, I have Zecora in the role of Motormouth Maybelle, as she was the first character on this show to be a victim of racism, and as a character serves as a voice of inspiration and hope. The point of the show is a whole is that even people who are different from each other can find a way to be friends. Differences should not be shunned, but celebrated. I'm sad this message did not reach some of you fellow Bronies and Pegasisters, but I hope this video will remind you of that. Please know that any racist comments posted on this channel will promptly be deleted, and your account subsequently blocked from posting anything further. I do not tolerate that kind of behavior on my channel.
