How to make up self watering wicking grow beds & containers. Also know as SIPs (Sub Irrigated Planters) Self watering garden beds & containers are a great way to not only keep your plants well hydrated but they're also fantastic at conserving our precious water supplies. We've made MANY container wicking gardens out of recycled bathtubs, buckets, barrels, IBCs (Caged Intermediate Bulk Containers) as well as large garden beds made with recycled roofing tin walls with built in water reservoirs. This playlist contains a few step by step self watering wicking garden builds as well as an air pruning wicking barrel for a Dwarf papaya tree that will give you a few ideas on how you can grow some fantastic veg while conserving water.
