startAD is committing this year to a huge milestone it is working hard to achieve.
Here are the highlights of what’s happened in startAD so far:
We partnered with Aldar, Provis, and Dubai's RERA to host the final five startups of Aldar Scale Up 3 at the net zero carbon building, SEE Institute. The event served as a platform to spotlight the innovative concepts from the top five Scale Up participants, promoting sustainability in alignment with the UAE's Year of Sustainability initiative.
The Emirati Women Achievers campaign celebrated 23 remarkable Emirati women, from trailblazing entrepreneurs to cultural icons, whose dedication and contributions are at the heart of the nation’s progress.
We launched the 4th edition of the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE UAE), designed to equip female entrepreneurs from around the UAE to upscale their business through a mix of online and in-person sessions.
We conducted the two-day 7th Angel Rising symposium where we invited 20 thought-provoking speakers from all over the globe to talk about the emergency on food and the future of food tech and had about 500 participants resonated with 300 investors. For its 8th edition, we will be at COP28 and delve into ‘ClimateTech for Change,’ convening world-class global and local experts to highlight the need to act fast and catalyze technology adoption through startups to serve the 2050 vision and address global warming.
The NYUAD Entrepreneurship School kicked off with an array of workshops, boot camps, and thought-provoking talks by accomplished startup founders in the UAE, exclusive to the NYUAD community.
We announced the 8th cohort of the Ma’an Social Incubator Program featuring youth-led startups have been hand-picked for their cutting-edge innovations and climate change solutions using green technology, demonstrating their commitment towards a more sustainable future for the UAE.
Our goal is to reach many more startups that seek incubation and acceleration.
