Lubless - White out(白視現象) MV(SUB)
Exploring the Duality of Human Nature True self-love means embracing even the aspects of ourselves we dislike. Lubless’s latest album, White Out (白視現象), takes inspiration from Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale The Snow Queen. It delves into the duality of human nature and the essence of self-love. In the story, a shard from a mirror created by wicked trolls pierces Kai's heart, causing him to see only the worst in the world. He finds comfort in the icy palace of the Snow Queen. Meanwhile, Gerda embarks on a perilous journey to save Kai. In the end, her tears melt the shard in his heart, prompting Kai to cry as well, fully dislodging the fragment. The idea for the album stemmed from the symbolism of the mirror shard lodged in Kai’s heart. The narrative reimagines Kai and Gerda as representations of oneself: the reflection in the mirror and the one looking into it. Human beings are neither wholly good nor wholly evil; they embody both. This duality intrigued Lubless. The negative and destructive parts of oneself are just as much a part of who we are, and it is only through confronting and embracing them that we find true self-acceptance. The band conveys the idea that real self-love involves embracing even the parts of ourselves we might despise. While love has the power to save one another, the album’s central message is clear: the ultimate savior in our journey of self-acceptance is always ourselves. MV by JaimieS
