Some ancient Japanese gods had ridiculously long names.
In the mythical chronicle of Japan, 古事記 Kojiki, the god who descended to rule Japan has among the longest names:
天邇岐志国邇岐志天津日高日子番能邇邇芸命
あめにぎしくに にぎしあまつひこひこほのににぎのみこと
Amenigishikuninigishi Amatsuhikohiko Hononinigi-no-Mikoto
Meaning:
Nice to the heavens and nice to the earth, The son of the god of the sun, Rice ears ripen abundantly God
Japan has learned to be modest with names over time 😁
