In this Your Health segment, Andrea Levine, MD, says doctors treating COVID-19 patients are now seeing a range of symptoms that continue in some patients well after they have recovered from their initial infection, a phenomenon called post-acute COVID-19 syndrome or long COVID; the patients are known as COVID long haulers. Dr. Levine is a pulmonary and critical care specialist who runs a post-COVID-19 clinic at the University of Maryland Medical Center and an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
