Austin Public Schools, located in South Central Minnesota just off I-90, serves approximately 5,200 students at 9 different sites, including a community learning center, an all-day Kindergarten center, four elementary schools, one intermediate school, one middle school, and one high school. We serve a highly diverse population of students who speak more than 45 different home languages and more than 55% of our students qualify for Free / Reduced Price Lunch, both numbers which have grown tremendously over the last 20 years. In order to more effectively serve our students, we have developed partnerships with many different organizations, including The Hormel Foundation, the University of Minnesota, and the MacPhail Center for Music.
